1. Englishcocoon: A case of a round and longish shape, which a silkworm makes by enclosing itself with the threads it produces when changing into a pupa.

   누에가 번데기로 변할 때 몸에서 실을 토하여 자기 몸을 둘러싸서 만든 둥글고 길쭉한 모양의 집.

   • 누에고치에서는 하얗고 고운 명주실의 원료를 뽑아낼 수 있다.
   • 뽕나무의 잎을 먹고 자란 누에는 몸에서 흰색의 실을 뽑아 누에고치를 짓는다.
   • 길쭉한 누에고치.
