1. English-jyo: (informal addressee-raising) A sentence-final ending used when the speaker confirms and says something that the listener thought he/she already knew.

   (두루높임으로) 말하는 사람이 듣는 사람이 이미 알고 있다고 생각하는 것을 확인하며 말할 때 쓰는 종결 어미.

   • 오늘 본 영화는 좀 지루했죠.
   • 며칠 뒤면 벚꽃이 활짝 피겠죠.
   • 우리 지난해 제주도에서 아주 즐거웠죠.

2. English-jyo: (informal addressee-raising) A sentence-final ending used to ask something that the speaker already knows to cross-check the information.

   (두루높임으로) 이미 알고 있는 것을 다시 확인하듯이 물을 때 쓰는 종결 어미.

   • 오늘 날씨가 참 좋죠?
   • 하루 종일 일하느라 피곤하셨죠?
   • 요새 결혼 준비를 하느라 바쁘시죠?

3. English-jyo: (informal addressee-raising) A sentence-final ending used when the speaker talks about himself/herself or his/her thoughts in a friendly manner.

   (두루높임으로) 말하는 사람이 자신에 대한 이야기나 자신의 생각을 친근하게 말할 때 쓰는 종결 어미.

   • 저희 아버지는 정말 따뜻하신 분이었죠.
   • 저와 승규는 오랜 친구라 서로를 잘 알죠.
   • 지금은 교사를 하고 있지만 제 어릴 적 꿈은 가수였죠.

4. English-jyo: (informal addressee-raising) A sentence-final ending used when the speaker asks the listener something in a friendly manner.

   (두루높임으로) 말하는 사람이 듣는 사람에게 친근함을 나타내며 물을 때 쓰는 종결 어미.

   • 지금 몇 시죠?
   • 이 사과는 얼마죠?
   • 승규는 요즘 어떻게 지내고 있죠?
