-기에 망정이지

1. English-gie mangjeong-iji: An expression used to indicate that the speaker is relieved that the incident mentioned in the preceding statement went that way.

   앞말이 나타내는 내용과 같이 된 것이 다행이라는 뜻을 나타내는 표현.

   • 제때 치료했기에 망정이지 몰랐다면 큰 병이 되었을 것이다.
   • 안전벨트를 했기에 망정이지 안 그랬으면 크게 다쳤을 것이다.
   • 우산을 항상 가지고 다니기에 망정이지 안 그랬으면 이 비를 다 맞을 뻔했다.
