1. Englishmuch less; much more: An adverb used to indicate a stronger affirmation for the content of the following statement than that of the preceding statement.

   앞의 내용과 비교하여 뒤의 내용에 더 강한 긍정을 나타낼 때 쓰는 말.

   • 물도 못 삼키는 지수가 하물며 밥을 넘길 리가 없었다.
   • 어른인 나도 못 하는 일을 하물며 아이가 할 수 있겠냐?
   • 쌀 살 돈도 없는 김 씨는 하물며 옷 살 돈은 당연히 없었다.
