1. Englishmutiny; rebellion against superiors: A state in which a person lower in class or rank uses an unrighteous method to rule over another person senior to him/her.

   신분이나 계급이 낮은 사람이 옳지 않은 방법으로 윗사람을 꺾어 누름.

   • 젊은 군인들은 하극상을 일으켜서 명령에 불복종했다.
   • 대통령을 암살하고 군부를 장악한 그 군인의 행동은 분명 하극상이다.
   • 하극상이 벌어지다.
