   언어에서, 상대 높임법의 하나로 상대편을 보통으로 낮추면서 약간 대우하여 주는 종결형.

   • 대개 교수님들은 제자들에게 하게체를 쓴다.
   • ‘먹게, 가네, 하는가’는 우리말의 높임법 중의 하나인 하게체이다.
