1. Englishguard post; sentry post: A place where guards stay on alert and keep watch, such as the boundary of a military unit or a gate.

   부대의 경계선이나 각종 출입문 등과 같이 병사들이 경계와 감시를 하는 장소.

   • 적군의 눈에 띄지 않도록 우리 군은 초소를 나뭇잎으로 가리고 위장하였다.
   • 늦은 밤 초소에서 총기 난사 사건이 발생하여 근무하던 군인 네 명이 사망하였다.
