1. Englishcolor blindness: A condition in which the symptom is one cannot distinguish colors or mistakes one color for another, or a person with such a symptom.

   색을 분별하지 못하거나 다른 색으로 잘못 보는 증상. 또는 그런 증상을 가진 사람.

   • 지수는 색맹이라서 빨간색과 초록색을 구별하지 못한다.
   • 신호등 색깔을 구분하지 못하는 색맹이라면 운전을 하기가 어렵다.
   • 색맹에는 명암만을 분간하는 색맹과 일정한 빛깔만을 식별하지 못하는 색맹이 있다.
