1. Englishbreach of duty: Abandoning the given mission; this refers to cases where public officials or office workers abandon their duties or act contrary to their duties to the extent of causing damage to the property of the country or company for their own benefit.

   주어진 임무를 저버림. 공무원이나 회사원이 자신의 이익을 위하여 국가나 회사의 재산에 손해를 끼칠 정도로 임무를 저버리거나 어긋나는 행동을 하는 경우를 말한다.

   • 경찰은 배임 혐의을 받는 사람에 대해 수사하고 있다.
   • 시민단체는 기업의 배임 행위에 대해 수사를 요청했다.
