2. Englishno match: (figurative) A level that is lower than the lowest level of one's competence.

   (비유적으로) 어떤 사람이 가진 능력의 가장 낮은 수준보다 더 못한 수준.

   • 오만한 김 사장은 직원들을 항상 발아래에 두며 깔보았다.
   • 국가대표인 김 선수는 발목 부상으로 인해 실력이 지역 대표 발아래에도 못 미치게 되었다.
