1. Englishmodem: A device that connects the computer or terminal with the communication link and converts the signals, when exchanging data through communication facilities.

   통신 시설을 통해 데이터를 주고받을 때, 컴퓨터나 단말기와 통신 회선 사이를 연결하며 신호를 바꾸어 주는 장치.

   • 모뎀에는 이상이 없는데도 몇 시간째 인터넷 연결이 되지 않는다.
   • 사내 컴퓨터 통신망은 모두 모뎀에 연결되어 있어 인터넷상에서 서류를 주고받을 수 있다.
   • 모뎀 반납.
