1. Englishrecorder: An instrument that is held vertically and played by blowing air into it with one's mouth as one blocks and unblocks the eight holes with one's fingers.

   세로로 들고 여덟 개의 구멍을 손가락으로 막았다 떼었다 하면서 입으로 공기를 불어 넣어 소리를 내는 악기.

   • 리코더는 보통 앞에 일곱 개의 구멍이 있고, 뒤에 높은 음을 내기 위한 한 개의 구멍이 있다.
   • 대부분 리코더는 아이들이 배우는 쉬운 악기라고 생각하지만 제대로 배우려면 많은 연습이 필요하다.
